Who doesn't love Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. For years, watching this parade was the way I marked the official start of the Christmas season for me and my family. This was usually combined with a trip to the Magic Kingdom to take part in the Very Merry Christmas party.
I wanted this shot to be very sharp and clear even though floats were moving so I set my camera to shutter priority and set the shutter speed to 1/250 sec with a focal length of 35mm. For a non-moving subject, the general rule of thumb is to double the focal length and that should be your minimum shutter speed. The aperture was set to f/8.0 and the ISO was set to 100.
