The Disney Magic - Disney Cruise Line

During the Summer of 2015, we had the fortune to sail with Disney Cruise Line on the Magic through Norway, Iceland, and Scotland.  This was the first time I sailed on the reimagined Magic.  We've been on over 12 Disney cruises and I'll have to say this one was the best, not only because of the amazing destinations, but moreso because all the great people we met that we still stay in touch with today and consider many of them our friends.

Since this post is basically a tour of some of the shots I got of the Magic, I'll just jump right into the details of the shot.  All of these shots were 3 bracket HDR images and all shot with my mini-tripod for stability in the low lighting.  I'll just list the "normal" exposure in these shots.

The main lobby with one of the original staircases removed.  f/2.8, 1/60, ISO 250, 16mm

The man himself, Walt Disney,  Interesting trivia about this picture.  In the original, Walt was holding a cigarette.  f/5.6, 1/60, ISO 800, 28mm.

View from D Lounge looking toward the Walt Disney Theater on Deck 4.  f/13, 1/30, ISO 3200, 28mm.

Portrait of Walt.  I can't remember where this was, but I'm sure one of our Disney fans can remember.  I think the mid-ship elevators are behind me.  Can't remember what deck. f/5.6, 1/60, ISO 800, 32mm.

The new chandelier.  Yes, I'm laying on my back in the main lobby to get this shot, but it was after midnight and the only ones up were the roving bands of kids.  f/9.0, 1/60, ISO 800, 23mm.  I did this shot handheld without a tripod.

Shuffle court anyone?  f/5.6, 1/60, ISO 2000, 18mm

Captain Mickey.  f/4.0, 1/60, ISO 800, 19mm

I hope you get some great shots of the Disney Magic!
