Aulani at Night

Aulani is a magical place and like everything Disney it gets even more magical at night.

In this shot, I wanted to create a starburst effect from the lights which means a small aperture.  For this shot I set the aperture to f/11.  As with most night shots, especially one with an aperture this small, a tripod is necessary.  Since I had a tripod I know the long shutter speed would not be a problem so to reduce noise, I set the ISO to 100.  Given two of the three legs of the exposure triangle were set, then I dialed the shutter speed to get the right exposure.  That turned out to be 30 seconds.

Have fun capturing the magic of Disney.
